Piercing sound from a modern master, Jason Lescalleet has unleashed Songs About Nothing upon us. A double disc set that compiles two different sets of material (Trophy Tape being made up of shorter fragments, Road Test being one uninterrupted piece), these “songs” are more than certainly deserving of your attention. Can’t wait to get my hands on it - catch him on tour sometime in the coming month (starts tonight and includes a stop at Voice of the Valley, I envy anyone making the trek), or pick it up at one of these places. Also, the embedded clip is “The Beauty of Independent Music”, put together by a certain Mr. Dilloway - it will give you a slight clue as to what to expect.
